Potting BenchesThe potting bench is designed for the homeowner who lives in an apartment, condo or townhouse and still wants to enjoy collecting and conserving water for their deck or patio plantings. Most of these locations have covenants or associations which do not allow the homeowner to tap into a downspout. It also works well for the homeowner who doesn’t want to alter the downspouts on their house, however still wants a way to collect rain water.
Our potting bench has a roof over it designed to collect water and channel it into a rain barrel. The roof collects approximately 15 gallons per 1“of rainfall. The work surface is designed for either a right or left handed homeowner. The dirt tray is located in the center of the work area which allows the homeowner to work right to left or left to right with no modifications to the work surface. The overall size of the bench is 2' x 5' x 32" height and has a 1’ x 5’ shelf underneath. The roof is 2' x 6'. Our potting benches are made from upcycled fence panels and posts.
The center Cedar Lattice panel has the option to be replaced with a steel, copper, brass, or aluminum silhouette burned out of thin gauge material in order to customize it for the homeowner. We offer -standard pictures such as flower arrangements, animal scenes, nautical, etc. We even have the capability of uploading the buyer's favorite picture into the machine and cutting it out in a 2' x 2' square.
The 30 gallon Blue Rain Barrel and the 50 gallon Brown or Terra Cotta Rain Barrels fit perfectly next to the Potting Bench.
The Blue Rain Barrel is 30 gallons and is intended for homeowners with a balcony. Water weighs 8-1/2 pounds per gallon. When it is full it will be less than 300 pounds. Balconies are rated for 400 pounds per square foot. If the homeowner has a deck or patio slab they can use any size or color barrel.
